WAM Transportation has an immediate opening for a Fuel Transport Driver to operate out of our Plattsburgh, Peru, and Champlain areas, as needed.

Education, Certifications, Skills & Experience Required:

Must have CDL license with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement (minimum of at least 3 years driving experience required)Must have a clean NYS Driver’s License, and must pass both a pre-employment drug screening and background checkExperience in both fuel and propane delivery is preferredMust carry license allowing valid entry into CanadaMechanical knowledge/experience is desirableMust be able to handle physical requirements including frequent climbing in and out of truck cabs, frequent bending, and lifting of fuel delivery hoses

Qualified applicants must be able to work autonomously to ensure the completion of their assigned delivery schedule.

This position may be subject to overtime during peak winter months. The ability to work evenings and weekends if required, along with a willingness to work in all weather conditions, is a must.

The level of compensation will be based on the experience of the chosen candidate and will be discussed further at the time a potential offer is made.

Key duties assigned to this role:

Service Dispatcher – Saranac Lake, NY

MX Fuels and Propane is looking for a Service Dispatcher to oversee the daily operations of our Service Department and to coordinate the daily scheduling of service calls to our residential and commercial customers. This position will operate out of our Saranac Lake Branch.

Responsibilities may include:

Overseeing our Service Technicians and ensuring they are completing their assigned service calls per the designated schedule, and per company standardsInputting of work orders into our service software, and ensuring they are being scheduled in a timely fashionEntering charges for service work into software, creating invoices for work performed, and ensuring customers are receiving bills per the set company timelineProvide updates to senior management on progress within your department, and work with them to improve overall operations and proceduresAnswering telephone calls and emails from customers pertaining to service-related questions, and ensuring their questions and concerns are being addressed.Process customer service orders and payments according to set credit terms of customer accountWork with our technicians on achieving optimal scheduling of service jobs for maximum efficiencyMaintain contact with technicians throughout their shifts and address any scheduling issues they might have

The MX Saranac Lake Division Manager will be responsible for the operations of the MX Fuels Division headquartered in Saranac Lake, NY.

The duties of the Division Manager will include managing all marketing activities, which include:

Ensuring we have competitive pricing in place and are meeting margin targets for the division.Maintain the customer base and gain new customers.Oversee the customer service department, drivers, and technicians in your division ensuring they are adhering to all MX procedures and policies on a daily basis.Assisting in training, motivating, and providing support to all employees in your division, and guiding them to deliver consistent customer service.Ensure expense control policies are in place and that financial targets of the division are being met.Monitoring and controlling payroll and productivity for your division.Maintaining the safe, efficient, and clean operation of company assets used in your division, including vehicles, bulk plant yards, tanks, and othersResponsible for the health and safety of all employees and customers at your division. The Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient loading and delivery of fuel, propane, and related products to customers. This role will operate out of our Saranac Lake Division.

Ensure the safe loading of fuels and propane onto the delivery truck.Ensure the accurate and safe loading of products.Ensure the safe and accurate delivery of fuels and propane to customers.Ensure accurate recording of product delivery, delivery reports and fuel tickets.Assist in the delivery and set up of customer skid tanks, and LP Tanks when required.Obey all legal and company regulations affecting the operation of motor vehicles.Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of the truck, cab, and work location.Other duties as required.

Education and Experience Required:

High school diploma required.Hazmat/CDLFuel haulage and/or delivery experience is highly desirable.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Dispatcher

MX Fuels and Propane is seeking a full time Dispatcher to operate out of our Malone Division.  The Dispatcher is required to co-ordinate the delivery of Fuels and Propane to our residential and commercial customers. This role is available full time, will be based in Malone and will require the candidate to be part of an on-call schedule team.

Main Responsibilities

Program and schedule daily and weekly deliveries to our residential and commercial customers.Work with our drivers on achieving the optimal routings for maximum efficiency of the drivers.Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might have

Work with our retail Customer Service representatives in taking care of customer needs.The candidate must possess excellent customer service skills to be able to work with our customers, overcoming customer concerns.Ability to work autonomously.Local geographical knowledge is required to aid in scheduling drivers.
